[Concerned with caring for his Pokémon, Scout is currently standing in front of a large bush, holding his Pokégear at face level at his side, so that anyone viewing can, in fact, see both him and the bush. One can also see Champ, Scout's Tyrogue, currently waddling around the bush, looking strangely concerned.

Just what is going on here?]

[Scout has the Pokégear pointed toward his face.]

Anyone wanna battle me? I'm ready for anything. I will own you!

[It's been a while since Larry had a battle with any of the other trainers that got dumped here, so he's kind of all over this.]

I'll take you on. Where're you at?

[Scout grins, then turns around to find a distinguishable building to say he's near. Once spotting the Pokémon Center, he faces the camera back toward his face and points over his shoulder at the Center.]

I'm near the Pokémon Center, bro.

Y'sure ya really wanna battle me? I'll give ya a chance t'change yer mind.

I'm not gonna back out of a challenge, 'specially since I was the one doing the challenging!

[He brings the 'Gear closer to his face to check out that Pokemon Center. Uh...]

Yeah, but which town though? PokeCenters kinda all look the same.

[The music helps, though. That music only plays in like two locations.]

[Of course, Scout didn't realize all the Pokécenters looked the same, and he felt a smidgen of embarrassment when he heard Larry ask what town he was in. He'd never actually show that embarrassment, though, and instead, deflected the problem's cause onto Larry.]

Really? Y'can't tell where I'm at? You need glasses or somethin', man.

I ain't sure I wanna battle ya now, cause it's kinda mean t'crush someone with a medical problem.

[And now Larry is just staring at Scout.]

Seriously, dude? Are you new here or something?

[So maybe it's Violet then...]

*Gigantic man looking at the camera. And laughing.* Ha! Reckless words from a man so scrawny!

Whoa.

[Scout's so distracted by the size of the man on the screen that he pays little mind to being called scrawny.]

Dude.

How tall are you?

Hmm, what was it again? Using those centy-matter whatsis... it was 212, I believe.

Centy-matter?

Huh?

[Good thing Scout paid attention in school! He definitely knows what centy-matters are. (Meaning: no, no he doesn't)]

You mean feet? Yer not that tall, I ain't stupid.

Bah, they're your modern measurements! All I know is that I'm 212 of them. And it certainly isn't two hundred of my feet; do I look like Odysseus' wooden horse to you?

*He does perhaps look like the only person who could ever beat Heavy in arm wrestling, though.*

Okay, whatever.

So y'wanna battle dude, or what?

*Blink. He speaks slowly.*

You. Are challenging me. To combat? *Not getting the Pokemon thing yet.*

I would, but m'pretty sure that wouldn't be a very fair fight.

You having just gotten here and all.

That's 'cause you haven't seen my guys in action yet.

[Pauling's already started to feel a little ill, but she's keeping an eye on Scout anyway.

Sitting on a bench not far away, she just eyes the Scout from over her clipboard, silently mocking his naivety.]

[Scout, obviously not noticing Pauling, is just wandering around the town looking for people to battle with. Every once in a while he has to chase Champ down, since the Tyrogue keeps getting distracted by the other Pokémon the trainers are leading into the Pokécenter and the gym.]

[Before he wonders off any further, she raises her voice, finally finding she should save the boy some trouble. As much as they aren't technically working here, her job is to keep an eye on the mercenaries.]

You should train more first, Scout.
